Lemongrass is used, among other things, as a spice, has carminative effects (against flatulence), is part of Aqua carminativa and Aqua carminativa rubra (available in pharmacies, against flatulence), has antiseptic effects and repels insects. There are many types of this grass and the essential oil differs in the content of various substances (geraniol, citronellal, citronellol, limonene, etc.), i.e. not only in color, but especially in aroma.
