A white candle, as a symbol of purification.
-
Two pieces of paper and a pencil.
-
A small bowl of water, preferably natural.
-
A pinch of salt.
-
Favorite stone – moonstone, selenite or amethyst.
-
Incense: white sage or palo santo.
Procedure
-
Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed, play some soft music, light a candle, clear the space with a smoker, and sit comfortably.
-
On a piece of paper, write down everything you want to let go of, that no longer serves you and that you don't need: negative patterns, worries, fears, pains. Don't think about it, write as things come to you.
-
Put some salt in a bowl of water. Wash your forehead, symbolically your heart or hands with the water with the intention of washing away everything old.
-
Symbolically burn the paper with everything you want to let go of (safely). If this is not possible, tear it into small pieces and bury it in the ground. While doing so, say something like, "I am letting go of what no longer serves me, I am surrendering it to the moon."
-
On a second piece of paper, write down 3 to 5 things you are grateful for. Become aware of everything that is good and whole in you and around you.
-
Intention for the new cycle – write in a short sentence what you wish for the next period. For example, "I open myself to a deeper trust in life." or "I embrace my strength and intuition."
-
Ending – thank the moon, nature and yourself. Blow out the candle and leave the crystal on the windowsill overnight to recharge with positive energy. Carry it with you as a talisman of a new intention.
You can repeat this ritual every full moon. It is gentle but effective, and does not require any complicated tools.
