Full Moon October 2025
ARIES FULL MOON – October 7, 2025
October birthstones: opal and tourmaline
Title: Hunting Full Moon
The October full moon is called the Hunter's Moon. The name comes from the North American Indians, and is derived from the period when animals were tracked and killed to stock up on food for the winter. The full moon will occur on October 7 at 5:47 AM Central European Time.
This full moon, like the Corn Moon in September, is the Harvest Moon or the Harvest Moon. It marks the peak of the harvest of corn, pumpkins, gourds, etc.
The full moon is a symbol of the end of the harvest and preparation for the upcoming transition into "darkness", as the light diminishes and the nights grow longer. It is an expression of the strength of the community, as in the past people hunted and feasted together.
Leave a glass of water in the light of the full moon. Moon Water – you can then drink the moon water, water flowers with it, use it for ritual washing of stones, etc.
The full moon is a very emotional time for many people, making them more sensitive to everyday situations. It is therefore a good idea to slow down, take some time to relax, or do a simple, grounding ritual.
A tip for a full moon ritual of shadow hunting and gifts of light from Nefertiti
Shadow hunting = symbolic naming and surrendering what you no longer need (fears, habits, hardships).
Gifts of light = receiving the reinforcement, wisdom, and energy that the full moon and your inner guide give you for the next cycle.
What you will need
- A candle (white or orange),
- Paper and pencil.
Procedure
-
Light a candle, open a window.
-
Write down 3 things on paper that you managed to "catch" this year. It could be success in your career, in a relationship, experience, inner knowledge, etc., be grateful for them.
-
Shadow hunting: then write down 1-2 things that you no longer want to carry with you - fear, habit, bad habit, thoughts, etc. This symbolically hunts them down, i.e. you name them and admit their existence.
-
Transformation: carefully burn or tear the paper and bury it in the ground, imagining that it is transforming into the power that the full moon gives you.
-
Conclusion: look at the moon, take three deep breaths and exhale, and as you exhale say: "I am ready to carry into the winter only what strengthens me."
You can share this simple but effective ritual with your friends. It is the most authentic homage to the Hunter's Full Moon.
Now is the time for a short full moon meditation – about 5 to 7 minutes
Step-by-step Hunting Moon Meditation
-
Sit comfortably and calm your breathing.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths through your nose and out through your mouth.
-
Imagine a forest.
Enter the autumn forest in your mind, imagine the leaves rustling under your feet, the air is cool and clean, and the full moon shines above you, illuminating the path.
-
Meeting an animal.
Imagine an animal stepping out of the shadows in front of you – a wolf, a fox, a deer…
-
The gift of shadow.
You hold a bag in your hand, into which you symbolically place what you no longer want to carry: fear, burden, old habit, bad habit, etc.
-
The gift of light.
Accept a symbolic gift from the animal: light, strength, courage.
-
Thanks
Thank your guide, the Moon. Feel how you are filled with peace, strength and certainty, a sense of energy and inner reserves for the coming period. -
Return
Take three deep breaths and exhale. Imagine yourself coming back to yourself. When you are ready, open your eyes.

Create a TALISMAN/AMULET for the Hunting Full Moon – for courage, intuition and light
Can be used as a talisman for rituals or a personal amulet for courage, support of intuition and positive energy.
What you will need:
Choose your stone intuitively:
-
Red jasper – strength, courage, grounding.
-
Carnelian – vitality, motivation, joy.
-
Labradorite – intuition, protection, spiritual insight.
-
Moonstone – connection with cycles, feminine energy, support for intuition.
Procedure
-
Clean the stone under running water, or leave it in salt, or you can cleanse it with smoke from a stick or incense bundle (sage, lavender, juniper).
-
Charge the stone during the full moon: place the stone on a window where moonlight falls. Then take it in your hands and say an affirmation three times out loud or in your mind, for example, “I hunt for my strength and courage, I let go of everything that no longer serves me.” Imagine the stone absorbing the moonlight and storing it in its center.
-
Making a talisman: you can carry the stone in your pocket or put it in a bag made of natural fabric, ideally red, orange or black, the colors of hunting and strength. You can make it into a key chain. You can add an acorn, feather or dried leaf to the bag.
-
Use: whenever you feel powerless and lacking in energy, take the stone in your hand and repeat the affirmation. Don't forget to recharge the talisman regularly during the next full moons.
