Full Moon September 2025
PISCES FULL MOON – September 7, 2025
September's birthstone: sapphire
Title: Corn Moon
The full moon in September is called the Corn Moon, or also the Harvest Moon if it is close to the spring equinox. The name comes from North American Indians, and is derived from the period when corn is harvested. The full moon will occur on September 7 at 20:08 Central European Time. At the same time, a total lunar eclipse will occur.
The full moon is a symbol of harvest, i.e. the results of efforts and work. It symbolizes purification and release, it is a good time to let go of everything we no longer need - relationships, habits, bad habits, etc. It is a time of manifestation - anchoring wishes and visions into reality, which not only subconsciously we try to realize them. The full moon intensifies perception, dreams and inner insights.
Leave a glass of water in the light of the full moon. Moon Water – you can then drink the moon water, water flowers with it, use it for ritual washing of stones, etc.
The full moon is a very emotional time for many people, making them more sensitive to everyday situations. It is therefore a good idea to slow down, take some time to relax, or do a simple, grounding ritual.
A tip for a full moon cleansing ritual from Nefertiti
What you will need
- A candle (white or silver, white is a symbol of purification, silver is the color of the moon, night and self-knowledge, it is the color of mystery and magic).
- Paper and pencil.
- A bowl of water and a stone, ideally a crystal.
- Sage – a bundle or incense stick for smoking.
Procedure
- Find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Light and blow out a bundle until it is smoldering, or light a stick and cleanse the space. You can walk around the space with the bundle. You can say, "I cleanse this space of all negative energies."
- Cleanse yourself: close your eyes and imagine yourself enveloped in the silver light of the moon, which has a cleansing power.
- Write down on paper everything you want to let go of, what weighs you down, what you don't want: fear, injustice, emotional trauma, everything that exhausts you.
- State your intention: light a candle, hold the paper in your hand, and say silently or out loud: "With gratitude, I release everything that no longer serves me. I open space for new, light, and loving energies."
- You can carefully and safely burn the paper, or tear it up and throw it into a bowl of water. The water will wash everything away.
- Thank the Moon, pour the water from the bowl outside or water your houseplants with it as a symbol of returning the energy back to the Earth. Either let the candle burn out or blow it out.
- Treat yourself to a moment of peace with your favorite music, coffee, tea... and relax.
You can repeat this ritual every full moon. It is gentle but effective, and does not require any complicated tools.
Now is the time for a short full moon meditation – about 5 to 7 minutes
Step by step meditation
- Sit comfortably.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths through your nose and out through your mouth. - Imagine the light of the moon.
It was as if a full moon was shining above you, its soft silver light surrounding you. - Breathe in the light.
With each breath, imagine cool, pure moonlight flowing into you, cleansing you of all worries and heaviness. - Breathe out the darkness.
With each exhale, imagine everything that weighs you down (fears, pain, doubts) going away like gray smoke. - Inner peace.
After a while, just enjoy the state of peace and lightness.
If you want, repeat silently to yourself:
"I am light. I am purity. I am freedom." - Ending.
Smile gently, thank yourself and the Moon for this time, and slowly open your eyes.
