Scheelite was discovered recently. The mineral itself has been known for a long time, but its blue variant has been known for a relatively short time. Its appearance resembles ripples or lace. It is an ore of tungsten, a calcium tungstate mineral. Blue scheelite consists of several types of minerals - calcite, which gives the unmistakable blue color, scheelite (dark cream, gold or yellow parts) and blue dolomite, which creates stripes, ripples, lace.
This makes the mineral balanced in terms of male and female energy (Yin and Yang).

Scheelite was discovered in 1781 in the Swedish mountain Bispbergsklack, Säter, Dalarna. The mineral was named after Carl Wilhelm Scheele, the Swedish chemist who discovered tungsten.
It is used in jewelry. It is found in Switzerland, Arizona, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and Turkey.
